Meet Jessica

“It’s all about service. Well, service and a good red lip”

Service has been in her blood. Jessica grew up on Main Street at her family’s bar, Pooles Tavern. When she served her first meal, she knew it fit. It wasn’t until she served her first drink that she knew she found her calling.

“It takes a village. And trust me, it took a whole lot of villages to raise me.”

When Jessica decided she needed to see more of the country, and progress in her craft, she packed her bags and moved to Denver. For a decade she worked in all aspects of the service industry picking up insight, and more importantly, recipes. Her travels would take her From Northville to Denver, New York to Paris to California, and back again soaking up cultures, cuisine, and stories.

“Options are great, but, I tell everyone to do ten things perfectly.”

Jessica has spent countless hours creating her own unique recipes from her experiences throughout her journey. You can try her Caprice Classic, which is her spin on an old dish by transforming a Caprese Salad into a light and flavorful pressed panini.  Or, if you’re feeling hungry, you can take down her filling twist on a New Orleans classic, the Muffuletta. Like all of her creations, the olive spread on the Muffuletta is her own homemade recipe.

“So, what do you think about me opening a sandwich shop?”

Jessica proposed this question to her family on a cold New Year’s Eve afternoon, preparing to watch the ball drop.  In March after their first tasting, everyone knew this is what she should be doing.

“I’m glad to be back on Mainstreet!”

After a year of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears, Jessica finally opened the doors to her shop on December 31st, 2021.  If you are in downtown Northville and fancy yourself a good sandwich, a bottle of wine, grab-and-go snacks, charcuterie board, or a great conversation, come on down to 137 East Main.

We’d love to see you!
